The clients were significantly affected by the 2022 Northern Rivers floods and have recently been approved for the Resilient Homes Program to raise and rebuild their home.
While this will provide an opportunity to rebuild and create a safer home, their insurance did not cover the cost of replacing household items and appliances lost or damaged as a result of the floods. As they work towards rebuilding their home, they are facing the additional expense of replacing essential appliances.
The clients have identified an oven, fridge and washing machine as their priority household needs. These appliances are essential for preparing and storing food, maintaining household hygiene and establishing a functional home.
Assistance with these specific items would significantly reduce the financial burden on the clients and help them rebuild their home and return to a more stable and independent life
