Across the Mandurah region, we are seeing a significant increase in people experiencing homelessness with absolutely no access to shelter. With no crisis accommodation available, many individuals are sleeping rough in parks, bushland, cars, and wherever they can find some level of cover. They have no protection from the elements.
As winter approaches, the situation is becoming increasingly urgent. Cold nights, rain, and strong coastal winds place already vulnerable people at serious risk of illness and harm. Many are presenting without even the most basic essentials to keep warm or dry.
We are urgently seeking donations of winter supplies including swags, sleeping bags, blankets, tarps, warm clothing, socks, beanies, and hygiene items. These simple items can make a life-saving difference for someone sleeping rough.
Your support will directly assist people who currently have nowhere safe to go. With no emergency accommodation options, community generosity is critical.
