Client has been accessing support from our service since 2024 in relation to homelessness, substance use, and criminal justice advocacy. During this time, he has experienced multiple extended periods of abstinence and has commenced a Diploma of Videography. When he is doing well, he is a warm, outgoing, and engaging person.
Client's mum has supported him throughout his journey with substance use while also receiving JobSeeker. More recently, she fell and sprained her ankle, leaving her largely housebound. While recovering, she contracted COVID-19 and experienced a prolonged recovery over several weeks. During this period, he sadly experienced a relapse.
