67 year old male experiencing long term homelessness after a health incident during retirement required him to have emergency surgery and an extended stay in hospital caused him to lose his private rental as the medical bills caused financial strain. This male has been on the social housing wait list for over 20 years and has been trying to support his physical and mental health while staying in temporary accommodation, however is still financially struggling to afford the cost of living on an aged pension. Over Christmas this individual requires grocery vouchers to support him while many crisis services close for the holiday period
