Recipient story

Victim‑survivor of FDV, caring for her two‑year‑old child, urgently needs furniture to set up safe and stable housing.
Domestic & Family Violence
GIVIT
This request is for a mother and her two‑year‑old child who have recently left family & domestic violence and are transitioning from emergency refuge accommodation into a new, unfurnished unit. She is working hard to rebuild safety and stability for her family during an extremely vulnerable period.
The mother is experiencing financial hardship and food insecurity as she manages all daily expenses on a very limited income while caring full‑time for her young child. Because of this, she is unable to afford the essential household items needed to make her new unit safe, comfortable, and functional.
Providing furniture and basic household items will significantly reduce the pressures of resettling, support the wellbeing of both mother and child, and help them create a secure home environment after experiencing trauma and displacement. This practical support will allow the family to focus on healing, rebuilding, and reconnecting with their community.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated
