Support families facing financially challenges with getting their school aged children back to school.

Start of a new year can be financially challenging to many families at the best of times as they are facing the financial burden of preparing their school aged children for a new year of learning.
As everyone knows 2020 has been challenging for many reasons and this has resulted in a high number of people in our rural community loosing jobs in many sectors due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Our community centre operates a information and neighborhood centre and one of the program we deliver is Emergency Relief which provide financial and material aid to people experiencing financial challenges. Within this program we have identified a spike in the number of clients going through unforeseen tough financial times due to COVID-19 with many families never being in a situation before where they have no employment. So lets get together and provide some support for these families to equip and prepare their children for new school year so they do not get left behind or put at more disadvantage.
