Refugee male with financial disadvantages to get access to his health appointment
A 63 year-old Refugee male with diabetes, chronic pain on back and leg, PTSD and presenting bipolar symptoms has financial difficulty to access his important health appointment. He recently sold his own car to receive ~$5000, for paying his eye surgery fee for over ~$4600 (Medicare does not cover but he has life threating risk if not taking the surgery) and overdue rent payment over $1000. He self-reported he had $60 left in his bank account after paying 2* $30 per trip taxi for attending follow up appointment for his eyes. He is still in recovery after the surgery and believed he would need to attend couple follow-up appointments that 15 minutes+ away from his home.
