Elderly Couple - House destroyed by Trees in February Storms - Needing Help!
My clients are an aged couple that are struggling financially with basic essential needs as a result of the expense of the storm recovery and clean up at the property. A tree fell on their home and remains with no power supply and is uninhabitable. They are required to travel from Monbulk to Emerald daily to remain present at the property, meet assessors, tree loppers and other trades while they negotiate all the mental anguish and financial stress to rebuild their lives in Emerald. Basic essential vouchers for Fuel, food and Kmart would ease their financial stress and make life a little bit easier for them during this initial recovery stage.
