A young lady living with a disability and mental illness separated from her family of origin at a young age due to abuse perpetuated by a family member. While in child safety her sole parent (mother) passed away, she has recently transitioned from the child safety system to a supported living environment while she learns to navigate barriers to daily living caused by her disability, mental illnesses and history of trauma. She has three young adult siblings with whom she struggles to maintain healthy family relationships often leaving her rejected and isolated from any family support. With her limited support network and health challenges she often goes without necessities for daily life which has a significant impact on achieving positive outcomes for her health and well-being.
