Young mother moving into long term housing in financial hardship.
I am currently working with a young mother of 2 boys who is currently staying in transitional housing which is fully furnished. Before this accommodation, the family were homeless for a period of time and were subject to emotional and mental abuse. The mother has been offered a public housing property and will be moving in next week. The client has no furniture and will have nothing once she moves out. The client will be required to pay 2 rents while transitioning out of her current accommodation. I have completed referrals to local support services to assist with furniture and white goods and am requesting support for a grocery voucher and Kmart voucher (for air mattresses & bedding) to assist the family whilst they are waiting for support with furniture.
