Local Hobart Charity Urgent Need: Transgender 28 female needing support after recent schizophrenia diagnosis
We have a 28 year old transgender female resident who has recently been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
She is finding her diagnosis quite difficult to deal with, given she has no support from her family as they do not agree with her transitioning.
She feels isolated living outside of the city and does not feel comfortable catching buses, and wants to do all she can to improve her mental health. Part of this is getting back into her fitness.
We're hoping to obtain a bike to assist her with this, the added bonus is a bike will also give her the opportunity to get to places she needs to go.
