Single mum with two kids facing challenges in affording essential school items due to the high cost of living.
A single mother with two children is currently residing in transitional accommodation after experiencing homelessness. The family moved from North Queensland to Ipswich and became homeless as a result of a breakdown in family relationships and are also struggling due to being in an area that was impacted by the 2022 floods.
The high expense of living makes it tough for her to buy all of her children's school supplies. She has a son attending high school (year 7) and a daughter starting in year 6.
