Single dad, flood affected and unable to work due to back injury, experiencing severe financial hardship.
This person is a single parent with 2 daughters. He has recently become fulltime carer of his two daughters. He was flood affected and is struggling with recovering due to a back injury which has also caused him to be unable to work. He Centrelink unemployment benefits, however, they have informed him that it will take up to 3 mths for him to receive parenting pension, which has placed him in extreme financial hardship. He and his daughters live in two caravans on the property, which are badly affected by moisture and mould due to continual rain and flooding. He requires assistance with obtaining a washing machine, a dehumidifyer to combat the mould, and help with fuel to get his eldest daughter to TAFE.
