Person resides in Cedarvale on acreage with her two granddaughters and adult son. Isolated area with minimal social supports. Many physical issues, resulting in reduced mobility, falls and chronic pain. Loss of employment as nurse in 2019, unable to work. Car needing repairs, and essential to take children to school, go to shops etc. Experiences ongoing anxiety following flood previous bushfires in the area. Struggling to pay mortgage, bills, food, clothing for family. Accesses food parcels and op shopping for immediate needs. Currently overwhelmed and exhausted due to physical health, insomnia and experiencing low mood and hopelessness about situation. Needs assistance with personal care and household tasks. House still damaged due to floods. Waiting for repairs to home to be completed following Brisbane 2022 floods. Further impacted by Christmas Eve 2023 weather event. Currently no power or water to the house.
