Another eager Elderly lady waiting patiently to move back home after being displaced in Cairns after the horrible floods
Community member finds herself among five generations of family members, all displaced by the devastating floods preceding Christmas this year. Throughout their displacement, she has shifted between five different hotels, which she also learnt that she couldn't have too many family staying or visiting her. Despite the pleasant stays, she longs to return home to find solace. The bustling atmosphere of her house, filled with family members coming and going, visiting and staying intermittently, created a sense of togetherness that she sorely misses amidst their community displacement.
