Man with mental illness who has been homeless for years has secured a property.

Man in his forties with mental illness and trauma who has been homeless for years has finally been allocated a housing property. He has a significate childhood history of neglect and abuse that left him with immense trauma and mental illness that has resulted in years of dysfunction and isolation. He has been receiving treatment and is now more stable than he has ever been and has a chance at a new life. Unfortunately his history has not allowed him to accumulate any belonging apart from the clothes on his back and a few other items. He lives on new start payments but needs to furnish his new property and does not have the means to do so. For him to be successful he needs to have a homely environment where he feels safe and comfortable.
