New couple to WA impacted by the Nanga Bushfire in Waroona

High school sweethearts who 12 months ago reconnected and as a couple decided to make the move to WA from the East Coast, looking for a new beginning, Both wanted to return to their country roots and decided to settle in the beautiful country town of Waroona as care takers of a farm. They travelled over from the east coast with very little possessions, to build a life together with really only their music performances to finance their move. On the 20.03.2024, they were suddenly confronted with an out of control bushfire that forced them to flee. Initially, they were told they had lost everything, thankfully this was not the case but the property became a hotspot for continual flare ups, forcing the couple to evacuate three times over as many days whilst being escorted back into the property to feed livestock and grab what possessions they could. Having to relocate offsite, not knowing from one night to the next if they had lost it all overnight. It was an emotional rollercoaster.
