Elderly lady impacted the 2024 flood/storm event. A lot of debris was washed/blown across her property affecting dam water.

Client is an elderly lady living on her own on a large rural property. Impacted by the 2024 flood/storm event which blew/washed debris over property, affected her dam water and knocked down her fences. A volunteer program fixed her fences which client was very grateful for. Client has a horse and pony who normally drink out of the dam water, however due to the dam water being black and smelly, they no longer have access to suitable water. Wildlife no longer drink from the dam either. Client has sent water sample to laboratory and is waiting for result. It cost her $145. Client has not received any Government financial assistance as she is not a primary producer. Client would be appreciate a grocery voucher to relieve her of some of the unplanned financial outlay she has experienced and will experience in future. Client is using tank rainwater to feed her horse and pony with. She is worried that she will need to pay for water and cartage in future.
