Back to School initiative for families struggling financially

This initiative facilitates access to school uniforms and school supplies for children in families struggling financially in the busy back to school period at the start of the school year.

This is done through the creation of a pop-up shop, manned by volunteers and trainees and runs from 10am-2.00pm daily during January.

Discussions with schools across the region have been completed and the number one reason why children do not get to school is not having school shoes.

We are requesting 200 pairs of shoes for those families that need them to send their children back to school in 2021.

This year we had over 1000 families and over 2000 children access the initiative over the month of January and little donated stock of shoes to give these families.

Your help in securing these shoes would be so much appreciated.
