Mother and son seeking assistance with flood recovery

A lady living with her young adult son in a small town had all of their belongings destroyed in the 2022 flood. The water rose so quickly around their home they had to swim out and only managed to save a bag of clothes. They are now living away from their home town as there was no accommodation available locally. She and her son are out of work and are struggling financially with their recovery. They had no insurance and have not been able to afford to replace everything they have lost.
