Single father whose son is being reunified back into his care and in need of support

Dad is currently in the process of having his son reunified back in his primary care. The young child was taken into care just over a year ago, after being removed from his mother's care due to her addiction struggles. Unfortunately, Dad was not aware of what was occurring in his son's life, as the mother moved away a few years ago.

Dad is in the position now to care for his son full time and the Department are wanting this to occur as soon as possible. Unfortunately, Dad is not receiving payments yet and is struggling to afford everything he needs for his son to live at home with him. Hoping to receive some support to make this transition as smooth for Dad and child as possible.

This family also reside in a flood-impacted area of Brisbane and are still experiencing ongoing hardship from the 2022 floods.

This has been a struggle, with a lot of bills coming in at once, and an injury at work, making overtime difficult to achieve. This little boy's birthday is coming up and his father is concerned about not being able to buy him a gift. This family live on a very small budget. A voucher to Toy world, or similar would put a big smile on this little guys face.
