Far North Queensland Flooding

Give what's needed

Shower rails

Family losses everything in flood and spent hours navigating croc infested water to get to safety.

Self-evacuated by small boat in the darkness of the night with partner and 93-year-old wheelchair bound father in-law.

Travel a km by torchlight in torrential rain until they needed to tie up to a tree for 3 hours until daylight as the current was too strong to navigate in the dark in the flooded Daintree River which is crocodile infested.

House was inundated by at least 2 meters of water as the Daintree River hit the highest ever level approx. 14.5 mtrs. Needed to leave home quickly without taken personal effects therefore lost everything they own plus 3 cars, Caravan, shed full of motorbikes, tools, (uninsured). The house has sustained considerable damage.
