Single father starting over lost all personal belongings
Single father of 2 was in the process of relocating when he was directly impacted by the floods. The small family have lost all their belongings and have been left traumatized and displaced. His car was swept away by flood waters, so the family are now forced to live in a motel, with no access to transport and no family support as they are new to the area.
The family are experiencing financial hardship as the cost of living in a motel is adding up. The girls are getting ready to start a new year at school and are without any supplies. Presents they received at Christmas were also lost, which was distressing for the children.
Replacing lost items will take away a lot off stress for the family, as they continue to recover from the event and find some stability and normality.
