Asylum seeker who needs a leg-up
My client is seeking asylum and he has faced many challenges, including being detained. He was finally released from detention last year and whilst trying to recover from the mental trauma he has endured he looks to work towards gaining independence and acquiring paid employment. Asylum seekers, unlike other people in the community, have access to very few supports, and meeting day-day needs is a struggle let alone finding the opportunity to work towards building a future. With support from the generosity of strangers my client is hoping to begin to build his skills.
