Flood affected resident in economic hardship after channelling almost all funds in repairing ute that still doesn't work
A flood affected farmer whose fences were damaged, and animals were affected in October 2022 Victoria floods, recently bought a ute for his farm and for his family. He has spent thousands of dollars on it, but it is still not functional, and he does not have an alternative car. His youngest children are twins who are in a hospital for a year now and they have had a multiple surgeries. He has to visit them, but is unable because of the problems with his Ute and the lack of funds to get it fixed. He has also started falling behind on his council rates payment because of the lack of funds and the lack of a functional vehicle to generate funds.
