Evicted after flooding, a resilient First Nations mother and her four children need community support to rebuild their lives.
In a small, close-knit community, a resilient First Nations mother and her four children faced an unimaginable challenge when a severe flood ravaged their home, destroying their belongings, including the children's beds and mattresses, and leaving them with no place to sleep comfortably. Evicted due to the extensive damage, they found a modest house on the edge of the community. Despite the overwhelming circumstances, the mother remained a pillar of strength, determined to rebuild their lives. The children, two boys and two girls, have shown incredible resilience, but the loss of their beds has been particularly hard on them. They miss the comfort and security their old beds provided, especially after such a traumatic experience. The mother is doing everything she can to provide for her children, but the financial strain of starting over has made it difficult to replace the essential items they lost. This family needs the support of their community to help them get back on their feet.
