Waking up to water under their beds
Just after TC Jasper in December 2023, this family was in shock to awake in the early hours of the morning, stepping out of their beds and into flood water throughout the downstairs of their home. Mom and dad then assisted with much difficulty their adult child with special needs to climb the stairs to wait until the flood waters eventually receded.
They spent 2 days without any power, losing all of their furniture and belongings downstairs. After a long road with insurer they then had their claim declined.
