$40 - Basic Hair Appointments
Families homeless and sleeping in cars, hair cuts to lift self-esteem and relieve the extreme stress of their situation.
This is a heartfelt request. We are currently dealing with homelessness on an epic scale. Just this week alone we have seen so many families living in their cars during this school holiday season. Self-esteem is low and I am asking if we can get a donation of vouchers to the local Salon Express hairdressers to give to families before the school season starts again in two weeks. Each voucher is $40 for the cheapest cut service in Albany. I am requesting 30 vouchers. Please consider giving to this small but self-esteem building request. People generally ask for so little even though they have nothing. I am seeing mothers and fathers coming in worn out and tired just from the stress of living tougher than most. Please, I implore you to look deep and support this request.
