Young man with epilepsy residing in supported residential facility
Young man with epilepsy requires 24 hour care. He has just moved from an unsafe share home to a supported residential facility to receive the care he needs, as he has no other informal supports including friends or family. He has suffered increasingly from isolation due to the Covid pandemic, lockdowns, and related disruptions to support staff availability.
He receives a disability pension but most of this covers the 24 hour supports he now receives in the home.
