Grand parent supporting their grandchild to not miss out

A grandparent we are currently working with has their grandchild in their care. Recently the grandparent has paid for the child to be able to attend school excursions and join a football club so that the child remains engaged with their peers and does not feel like they are having to miss out on activities other children enjoy.

These payments however have resulted in the grandfather struggling to afford groceries for the next fortnight for the grandparent and the child. We are seeking support to alleviate some of this financial stress on the family, whilst also providing practical support to ensure the child gets to enjoy their childhood without the stress or feelings of needing to go without due to circumstances out of their control.
