Residents of Fitzroy Crossing & surrounding communities needing food vouchers after being displaced due to flooding
Fitzroy Crossing & the surrounding valley was hit hard by the January Floods of 2023. There are still a large number of people displaced. The Fitzroy Crossing Flood Hub is a central location for all flood impacted people. Representatives from multiple agencies are on site to help with filling in documents, replacing ID's, etc. Flood impacted people are asking for assistance with buying food and fuel. With the cost of living crisis, both of these expenditures are expensive and some local people are unable to manage without assistance.
