A female client, currently living with her 80-year-old father, has been significantly affected by multiple floods, first in 2022 and recently in April 2024, while residing in a rented property. She is currently dealing with ongoing medical conditions and facing severe financial hardship, relying solely on pension. They tried to apply for government grants but to no avail.
After the April 2024 flooding, they remained in the damaged property for a short time but were eventually forced to leave due to the unbearable smell of mould and damage to appliances. She then spent months couch surfing with friends while her father temporarily stayed with her sister.
Recently, they managed to rent a property, but they are in urgent need of essential household items. Given their difficult circumstances, they are humbly appealing for support in obtaining the following items: a fridge, double bed and mattress, dining table with chairs, microwave, TV with stand/unit, coffee table, and outdoor seating.
