Flood destroyed home; elderly man lost everything
HIs story was shared in the book "Stronger Together," which was collection of stories and experiences from the 2022 floods. The water went 5 feet over his roof for over 15 hours. Everything in his home was lost. He didn't have any receipts for his belongings since his entire home was swallowed in the flood. For that reason, he's been unable to replace basic needs, since it's so expensive. He is 71 years old, and he lived alone at the time of the flood but now he's currently living with two other housemates, but they live mostly separately from each other.
