So close yet so far. Rental property vandalised delaying landlord’s repairs and rebuild efforts following floods.
Resident's property was damaged by the October 2022 flood event where water and sewage seeped through home - 10-15 cms above skirting board with all plaster in kitchen and bathroom needing replacement. Also impacted were 2 garden sheds, tools and fencing. Resident has experienced a long journey in recovery as he has dealt with insurance delays and fixing damage caused by vandals whilst property was left unattended. Insurance excess was also a setback due to incident. Resident has plans to fix exterior of home and repair lawns, fencing and aesthetics of property with timber and plants. Resident would greatly appreciate any financial assistance to cover some of these costs.
