Summer clothes for flood affected youth accessing a Kimberley night patrol service.
I am seeking summer clothes for youth aged 10-20 who access a night patrol service in the Kimberley. The town was devastated by a once in 100 year flood earlier this year. Many of the young people lost all their belongings including clothes. Some are now homeless and couch surf. The only clothes they have are the ones they are wearing. Having dirty and shabby clothing impacts on the young people's already fragile self-esteem and mental health. It is also a barrier to the young people accessing education and training as they are too 'shame'. Our night patrol provides hot meals and a lift home. We would love to be able to discreetly give our clients some fresh clothes as part of our holistic wrap around service.
