Young mum who fell into financial hardship after the death of her husband 4 years ago has been given a new home to set up for herself and three young children.
Mum's husband passed away in 2019, and she struggled to keep up with the payments for their family home, which led to it being repossessed earlier this year. Since then, Mum and the children have been living in temporary emergency accommodation in a motel room. Recently, they were allocated a new home through housing services. Mum has experienced significant changes in the last few months, allowing her to move forward in her grief - to a fresh start on life with her children in their new home.
While in emergency accommodation, items were stolen by community members who had offered to provide storage, including most of the children's toys and personal belongings.
