This 50 year old indigenous woman is currently living in her car with her teenage daughter after having to leave their property due to flooding from Tropical Cyclone Alfred. This woman has lost all their clothing, their furniture and food in the cyclone flooding. They were living in a private renting with a friend without a lease so they are unable to claim any grants from government. The woman and her daughter are currently without stable accommodation. The 50 year old woman's only income is the job seeker payment. This woman has been spending her job seeker payment on temporary accommodation. When she can spare extra cash, she buys food and petrol. This woman is in desperate need of fuel and groceries as well as a small 12 volt refrigerator for the car to keep their food cold.
