Childrens Clothing Racks for Community Project

We are organising a community clothing swap at our centre in alignment with this year’s National Families Week theme, "Lending a hand to thrive - supporting each other." Our local parents have expressed that, due to our regional location, there is limited access to baby and children’s clothing in the second-hand shops in our town. Without reliable transportation to the city or larger suburbs, options are even more restricted. In light of the ongoing cost of living crisis and the scarcity of affordable second-hand clothing, we’re introducing a clothing exchange, where parents can donate items they no longer need and take what they require. We've been fortunate to receive numerous donations from our community, allowing us to assist over 150 families through this initiative. This not only promotes sustainability and ethical fashion but most improtantly fosters a sense of community support.
