Client's rural property impacted by storm and flood
Client lives alone on a rural property that was impacted by storms and flooding late 2023 and January 2024. They live with both physical disability and mental health issues.
Severe erosion on the property caused the client's driveway to be washed away and reparation is not covered by existing insurance policy. Client is not eligible for any relief payments as they did have insurance and the house was not damaged.
Theses storm events have had a profound impact on the client's finances and is having a huge impact on their mental health.
