Young 19 yr old mother of 2, currently pregnant, is a victim of family violence.
This young mother is currently focused on her education, to complete year 12 and study at CIT while raising two young children and currently pregnant. Mother is a victim domestic/ family violence with a housing application in since 2019. In December 2022, mother moved to ACT from a refuge and was staying with her biological mother which put mother and children at risk of retraumatizing mother and exposing children to family violence. Mother was put into transition housing and has been very engaging at school and seeking childcare for the children but has minimal house items in the house to make it more homely. Mother is currently sleeping on a mattress on ground, has found bed frames for her two children to sleep on. Mother eats at the bench so that her children have a seat to eat at and she has no pots/pans to cook with and has to microwave food in bowls to heat things up. Mother has no baby room set up yet either.
