Assistance Needed for Temporary Outdoor Living Setup During Home Raise After 2022 Flood Impact
Client owns a home in South Lismore that was severely impacted by the 2022 flood. Three years on, after floodwaters rose two metres through her home—already elevated two metres off the ground—she is finally about to have her house raised under the NSW Reconstruction Authority's Resilient Homes Program.
While she is incredibly grateful for this opportunity, the program no longer provides support for alternate accommodation during the house lift. This means she must find her own solution for the one to two months she will need to move out. She has secured a caravan to sleep in and will be camping in her yard while the work is completed.
She is now seeking assistance with an outdoor kitchen setup (she already has a gas stove) and a generator or small solar system for basic power. This support will help her manage day-to-day living while her home is being raised.
