With no insurance and very limited income, they are unable to afford the necessary repairs. They applied for disaster recovery grants but only received the $180 Emergency Hardship Assistance and were found ineligible for further support. The couple faces additional challenges due to language barriers and rely heavily on their daughter to communicate and navigate support systems. They are doing their best to get by, but the financial pressure is growing. We are seeking support to help them meet basic needs—such as food vouchers—and contribute toward the cost of repairing the fence and gate, which are essential for their safety and security. Any assistance would make a meaningful difference during this difficult time and help them begin to recover with dignity.
