Mother and 3 children whom fled family violence
Woman has recently secured public housing after fleeing family violence. She is a single mother of three children and has faced significant financial hardship while transitioning to stable housing.
After moving to Victoria in December, she initially lived in a motel before securing a private rental, where most of her family benefits were spent on rent ($1,800/month), leaving her struggling to cover bills and essential expenses. Due to arthritis, she is unable to work.
Now that she has secured public housing, she is working towards creating a safe and comfortable home environment for her family. She is requesting gardening equipment, specifically a lawn mower and a whipper snipper (second-hand is welcome), to help maintain her outdoor space. Any assistance in providing these items would be greatly appreciated and would greatly contribute to her ability to care for her new home.
