Chest Of Drawers
26-year-old single father who has recently become the primary care for his two young children a 4-year-old son and a 2-yea
following an emergency placement due to the children’s mother being involved in a domestic violence relationship. The children arrived in his care with minimal clothing and personal belongings, most of which are too small or worn out. In order to provide full-time care for his children, the father has had to cease employment, resulting in a significant loss of income. Centrelink and childcare benefit applications have been submitted, but these may take up to six weeks to process, leaving the family in a financially precarious position during this waiting period. Currently, the client and his children are residing in the garage of his mother’s home. They share a single double bed, with all belongings stored in boxes. The living conditions are cramped and unsuitable for long-term accommodation, especially for young children.
