This woman is 26 year old and married with 2 children who are refugees.
Her and her husband have been living in Australia for 10 years surviving on an Asylum Seekers benefit $150 per week. They have bridging visas and have been rejected for all other types of visas and residency. The are living in community housing which has been granted for 12 months. They have no documents as they were lost on the boat coming to Australia. They are having difficulty finding work even with our Charities assistance. They do not have their own transport and neither have drivers license's. This woman can speak English, but she cannot read. Her husband understands very little English and does not speak well and he cannot read.
