Needs help to provide essential support to the community of Mallacoota and District after the 2019/2020 bushfires

This organisation was set up after the 2019/2020 bushfires, when more than 120 houses were destroyed in Mallacoota and District and many people lost all of their tools and equipment. The Tool Library lends tools and equipment to the community and also provides a place where people can meet, learn about the tools and discuss the projects that they are working on. It is an important initiative for encouraging social connection, particularly for those who tend to be socially isolated – borrowing a tool and stopping for a chat at the same time is a practical and non-threatening means of connecting with others. Currently operating out of a shipping container, the group seeks support to facilitate the fitting out of a permanent Tool Library Shed. The completion of a permanent ‘home’ for the Tool Library will deliver a much-needed boost to the community by confirming that this important initiative is here to stay and enabling the continuation and expansion of its valuable services
