My client, his partner and two daughters were affected by the 2019/2020 bushfires. Just before the bushfires the family moved into their new dwelling - bought with their savings - unfortunately they bought from a dodgy seller and the dwelling is unsound. All legal avenues have been exhausted. The house is dripping with condensation - all bedding, clothes etc. infected with black mould. We have managed to secure funding for a possible fix - using hard wood and silver foil insulation. Unfortunately they have now found that the shower had never been sealed and water has seeped throughout the dwelling underneath all floor coverings and dripped under the actual dwelling - creating a constant, damp, sodden and moist environment. My client's partner is severely unwell and the two daughters have recently begun working in their dream jobs. The shower area and flooring need replacing and we are unable to assist with funding. All of the family were severely affected by the bushfires. Homeless?
