Small business owner runs boutique country getaway for visitors a cornerstone pillar in the community Echuca. She also hosted many inter-regional migrants come to her cottage for longer term stay to find their feet before they settle themselves in town. many from the city that want to step away to find the serenity of the Australian outback. The business owner is family orientated community minded individual with an artistic flare, she hoped to run art workshops for her guests.

The flood event of October 2022 caused the river, separating the towns of Echuca and Momma inundated many homes on ground level, engulfing the town for the first time in decades. Climate shifts such as these are impacting the livelihoods of everyday residents in the regional towns. Her shed was impacted by the floods, whitegoods, linen and upkeep that encourage a homely feel in the space were damaged and destroyed by the engulfing torrents, damages up to $20,000. She is unable to reclaim these costs.
