The father and his two daughters lost their temporary dwelling in the Nymboida bushfires. They now live in a tent on a neighbouring property, The father is a carer for his two daughters who both have moderate learning difficulties.
This family lost their mum to suicide a few years ago in Western Australia, moving to this part of the world to leave those times behind. After the fire they have nothing except their pensions and each other. The property has been burned out so the little accommodation sheds, gardens, tools, water provision equipment is all gone, They have a vehicle. The local Nymboida community is doing it's best to support them. because these bushfire have not been classified a disaster area their is no direct government funding available. We help the family with food from our foodcare shop.
Our hope is to obtain some vouchers for clothing as they only have what they escaped with, vouchers for Christmas presents and vouchers for farming tools.
