Education Program for underprivileged and at risk young people
Our organisation runs an alternative education program delivering education to 50+ young people a year, that are not suited to mainstream school or who are exiting youth detention. This program supports these young people to gain numeracy and literacy skills, working towards a cert 2 in training and vocational pathways through distance education.
This education model is completed online, and the current desktops used are out of date and often do not work or connect to internet. This substantially delays the young people from completing course requirements. A donation of desktop computers and a laptop will benefit many young people on a daily basis and assist them to engage positively in the community.
